So you want your home to look like those you see all over social media and in magazines but you don’t have the cash?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. But don’t worry because I’ve got your back and I’m here to show you how you can get the lux look that you’re swooning over for a lot less.
Now don’t get me wrong, there’s cheap and then there’s cheap and nasty (as my Mum would say), and there’s still something to be said for the more expensive pieces. Usually you will find that the more expensive pieces are usually, but not always, better quality. They are often made with more durable material, are Aussie made and not a cheap import.
But what’s a girl to do when she just can’t afford the more expensive option and has an interior decorating budget? Let your fingers do the walking and shop around online, good old Google to the rescue!
Have you heard about Google Reverse Image Search? It’s awesome. Google Reverse Search lets you search by images instead of keywords. Upload a picture from your desktop, tablet or mobile phone, and Google will show all the other web pages on the Internet that have similar images.
So next time you see something you love, save the image and then reverse image search it and voila, you have a bunch of websites where that image or similar can be found. Go one step further and hit the shopping tab, google will then show you all the stores where you can buy what you’re after and you can compare the prices – isn’t that great?!
Here are a few examples that I found:
Toscana Extending Dining Table – Seadrift
226 x 102 x 76 cm $179 delivery to Melbourne
$2279 from Pottery Barn
Bronte Winter White Slipcover Sofa – Italian
220 W x 87 D x 80 H Free Shipping
$2995 from Urban Couture
So there you have it, you can have the look for less.
Whatever your interior decorating budget, everyone deserves a home that they love.
